Notes:
1)Only American citizens are issued multiple
entry visas for the period of 48 months. All other visitors should consult
the schedule of fees to determine the cost of the visa depending on
how long they are planning to stay in Uzbekistan. The visa rates are
based on regular 10 working days processing time. For visa processing
in 5 working days, the visa fee increases by 50% if you have the visa
support from the organization inviting you confirmed by the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
2) Visa fees are waived for minors (except U.S.
citizens) under 16.
3) $45 visa fee is only for the U.S. citizens
traveling to Uzbekistan on business or pleasure irrespective of the
length of stay in Uzbekistan. The fee for a double entry 72-hr. transit
visa valid for use within three months is $25. All fees are non-refundable.
Business Visa
To obtain a business visa to Uzbekistan, you
need your hosting organization (business partner, company, etc.) process
an invitation letter through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tashkent.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will confirm and notify Uzbekistan Consulate
General in New York about its decision.
In order to obtain business visa for travel to
Uzbekistan, the following documents must be submitted:
completed and signed visa
application form;
valid passport;
one passport-size picture
All entries must be typed or printed in Uzbek (Russian) or in English.
Incomplete visa applications are not accepted. A personal interview
with an applicant may be required. In case any person is declined to
obtain entry visa to Uzbekistan, the Consulate General reserves the
right to provide no explanation. If application is declined, visa fee
is non refundable.
Private Invitation Visa
To obtain a private invitation visa to Uzbekistan,
the following documents must be submitted:
original note of invitation (faxes or copies
are not accepted) from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic
of Uzbekistan;
completed and signed visa application
form;
valid passport;
one passport-size picture
All entries must be typed or printed in Uzbek (Russian) or in English.
Incomplete visa applications are not accepted. The person inviting you
must obtain the note of invitation from the local department of the
Ministry of Interior in Uzbekistan. A personal interview with an applicant
may be required. In case any person is declined to obtain entry visa
to Uzbekistan, the Consulate General reserves the right to provide no
explanation. If application is declined, visa fee is non refundable.
Transit Visa
If you are traveling through Uzbekistan to another
country, you need to have a transit visa to Uzbekistan.
In order to obtain a transit visa, the following
documents must be submitted:
completed and signed visa
application form;
valid visa to the country of destination;
confirmed round-trip airplane ticket;
valid passport and one passport-size picture
All entries must be typed or printed in Uzbek (Russian) or in English.
Incomplete visa applications are not accepted. A personal interview
with an applicant may be required. In case any person is declined to
obtain entry visa to Uzbekistan, the Consulate General reserves the
right to provide no explanation. If application is declined, visa fee
is not refundable.
Tourist Visa
To obtain a tourist visa to Uzbekistan you need

to Uzbekistan, the Consulate General reserves the right to provide no
explanation.
Information for travelers
If your stay in Uzbekistan exceeds 3 days,
you are required to register with the Ministry of Interior local department
within 3 business days after arrival. A registration stamp is placed
in your passport.
If you stay in a hotel, the hotel administration
will register you automatically.
If you stay in a private apartment or house, you have to register the
passport with the Ministry of Interior’s local department in the district
where this apartment or house is located.
A fee for registration are paid in soum (national currency of Uzbekistan)
in amount equal to $20 or more depending on the length of stay.
Please be advised that your passport is checked upon departure, and
failure to register it may result in fines of $20 or more depending
on the period of time the passport was without registration.
